In this newsletter you’ll find a lot of writing about cinema as a medium and the craft of filmmaking. But in part I love cinema because it is a kind of dream-like mirror through which we can peer into life, so don’t be surprised if cinema is just the doorway I pass through on the way to exploring many other topics. I’m fascinated by the way media forms a sort of landscape for our day to day lives in the hypermodern world, and my hope is to work towards better media literacy and a clearer understanding of that world.
